Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of IAABO, the greatest basketball officiating organization in the world! Our online course consists of eight (8) video lessons aimed at preparing you to successfully complete the IAABO applicant exam. While passing the exam does not assure that you will be an outstanding official, rules knowledge is one of the most important attributes of all successful officials. The cost of the course is $50, which includes access to the course and your personal copy of the 2021-2022 IAABO manual (sent via USPS). Upon successful completion of the course and exam, you will be eligible to join a local IAABO Board, subject to any additional dues and requirements of that Board.
After you have completed all eight lessons, you will be able to take the IAABO applicant exam. You will have sixty (60) minutes to complete the 50-question final exam. You must earn a score of 80 or better (40 or more correct answers) to pass this exam. This is a self-paced course with a 3 month window from the time you register, complete the course and the exam.
Upon successful registration and payment for the course, you will be able to immediately access the online course. If you have any difficulties, after registering and payment, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Once again, thank you for your interest in IAABO and we look forward to hopefully welcoming you as a member in the near future.
