As the referee checks the scorebook before the game, he/she notices the scorer and timer are not seated next to one another. The referee rules they must be seated next to one another. Is the referee correct?

The scorer notifies the referee of a discrepancy in the score. The referee cannot find the error. The referee rules that the progressive score in the official scorebook prevails. Is the referee correct?

Team A submits its roster and starting line-up at least 10 minutes before the game. After the 10-minute mark, the coach of Team A adds two names to the roster, so Team A is assessed one technical foul. During the game, the scorer notifies the official that two players from Team A are wearing different numbers than those recorded in the official scorebook. The official assesses no penalty. Is the official correct?

For no apparent reason, A-5 changes his/her uniform shirt at halftime and reports the number change to the scorer and official. The official does not assess a penalty. Is the official correct?

The timer sounds the horn 20 seconds before the expiration of a 60-second time-out. Is this correct?

The timer sounds the warning horn at the start of the 15-second interval of time for the coach to replace an injured player. Is this correct?

With 3:00 remaining in the third quarter, the official notices A-3 is wearing an illegal jersey. The official charges the head coach with a direct technical foul. Is the official correct?

A-1 travels. The official sounds the whistle and glances at the clock. The clock shows three seconds remaining, but when the timer stops the clock, there are only two seconds remaining. The official rules no timing mistake has occurred and makes no correction. Is the official correct?

The official administers a throw-in to Team A in the backcourt with 2:20 remaining in the second quarter. The official has reached 8 in his/her 10-second backcourt count when the ball is tipped out of bounds. The official notices the clock still says 2:20, so he/she has the timer reset the clock to 2:12. Is the official correct?

A-1 scored a field goal very near the expiration of time in the second quarter. The officials confer and cannot decide whether or not the goal should count. The referee confers with the table officials, who also disagree on whether the goal should count. The officials count the goal. Are the officials correct?

The officials’ jurisdiction is terminated and the final score approved when all officials leave the visual confines of the playing area. Is this correct?

A-1 is dribbling near the sideline and loses his/her balance in front of his/her coach. The coach instinctively uses his/her hands to prevent the player from falling out of bounds. A-1 maintains inbounds status and then passes the ball to a teammate. The official rules this a legal play. Is the official correct?

The referee designates the official scorer, timer, scorebook and timepiece, and inspects and approves all equipment before each contest. Is this correct?

Team A has only five team members. In the third quarter, A-4 is disqualified for committing his/her fifth foul. The official rules Team A must forfeit as they only have 4 eligible players remaining. Is this correct?

Both teams are wearing similar blue jerseys. The official rules that the home team must wear white jerseys and the visiting team must wear dark jerseys. Is the official correct?

During pre-game warm-ups, the official observes members of Team B wearing uniform jerseys that have a visible manufacturer’s logo at the apex of the neckline. The official charges the head coach with a direct technical foul. Is the official correct?

Team A’s school colors are white and blue. They enter the court wearing their home white jerseys. A-1 is wearing a red wristband and red headband. The official rules A-1’s wristband and headband are illegal. Is the official correct?

Team A players are wearing memorial patches on the shoulder strap of their jerseys, above the neckline. The patch has a player’s number on it. The official rules the patch is illegal as worn. Is the official correct?

During pre-game warm-ups, the official notices that a member of Team A is wearing an earring. The official informs the coach that the team member must remove the jewelry before he/she can continue warming up. Is the official correct?

Team A enters the court wearing white uniforms and red undershirts that are visible. The official informs the coach of Team A that team members will not be able to participate until the undershirts are removed. Is the official correct?

A-1 enters the court wearing white shorts with black compression shorts that extend below the game pants. The official rules the compression shorts are legal. Is the official correct?

A-1 is wearing his/her home white uniform. He/she is also wearing a white headband, white wristband, white compression shorts and a white undershirt that all feature a visible manufacturer’s logo. The official rules that all of A-1’s apparel is legal. Is the official correct?

A-1 enters the court wearing a cast on his/her forearm, covered by soft padding. The official rules that A-1 may not participate in the game wearing the cast. Is the official correct?

B-2 enters the court with extremely long fingernails. The official rules B-2 may not participate due to safety concerns. Is the official correct?
